No Rain in the Forecast

No April Showers.  Besides the most beautiful spring, this is by far the driest spring season we have seen here in the Kansas City Area.  To keep your trees and shrubs healthy give them a drink of water.  Up to this point the mature trees are still good, they have the deeper roots to tap the moisture.  But the young trees, planted in the last 3 years, will need a thorough watering to keep them healthy and vigorous.  Deciduous shrubs will want a drink also.  The Azaleas are good barometers, their leaves will let you know when they are thirsty.  Watering at the proper time is the easiest and most important factor in keeping your plants healthy so they can fight off disease and insects.  Just don’t overwater, let the soil dry back out between watering.  That’s all you have to do. It’s simple.

Good Luck
